Posters in Alexandria mock Sisi's presidency

Posters critical of Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi have been pasted on walls in Alexandria and pro-regime banners defaced or torn down. 

The anti-Sisi campaign is taking place in public areas which are known to have a major security presence.

The banners include slogans against Sisi, the army, and police, and comdemn death sentence against hundreds of anti-coup activists.

"Sisi is a murderer" and "Sisi is a traitor" were among some of the phrases used. The posters appear to mix Sisi's face with a Hitler-style moustache and an Andy Warhol print of Marilyn Monroe.

Security officials were reported to have made a number of arrests over the campaign, and have removed many of the posters.

A statement entitled Feast Your Eyes was posted on sites connected to the Masters Not Slaves anti-Sisi movement. The group oppose Sisi's rule in Egypt, the clampdown on opposition, and demanded the release of political prisoners.

They also warned that other anti-Sisi campaigns would follow.
