Palestine to refer Israeli killing of Palestinians to ICC
The Palestinian government in Ramallah has vowed to refer recent killing of Palestinians by Israeli forces to the International Criminal Court (ICC), describing them as "war crimes".

On Tuesday, the Palestinian government announced that the executions carried out by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians are "war crimes," pledging to document them and refer them to the ICC as part of a case brought against Israel related to field executions by Israeli forces against Palestinians.
The Palestinian government, in a statement issued following its weekly meeting in Ramallah, denounced what it called a series of ongoing assassinations against Palestinian persons.
The latest such incidents are the murder of young Palestinian Mohammed Abu Latifa, Fallah Abu Maria - who was 53 when he was killed - and Mohammad Alawneh, another young Palestinian.
On a different issue, the Palestinian government stressed that the daily Israeli assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the worshippers there is part of a "frenzied campaign led by the Israeli right and settlers, under the protection and encouragement of the Israeli government and army."
The Palestinian government said the Israeli government is seeking to impose new facts on the ground through these actions.
The Palestinian government warned that the current Israeli governement policy in Jerusalem and the holy sites could lead to a major conflagration and even religious war in the entire region.
The government in Ramallah called on the Palestinian people, institutions, and factions everywhere to close ranks to defend Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and resist the plot to "Judaize" Islam's second holiest mosque.
The government also called on Arab and Islamic governments to break their silence over daily Israeli violations, and resist Israeli plans that seek to alter the features of the holy city, and divide Al-Aqsa Mosque and remove its Arab and Islamic identity, "before it is too late".
