Suicide bomb targets Iraqi fighters in Fallujah

A suicide bomb targeting Iraqi forces has rocked a town in the southern Fallujah area, The New Arab can confirm.
Dozens were killed or injured in the attack, although the final death toll is yet to be confirmed.
No militant entity has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, but the Islamic State group have been behind similar attacks in recent weeks.
On Monday, at least 14 people were killed and 41 others injured when the bomb exploded in Saidiya district, southern Baghdad.
Just moments later, another bomb exploded in Tarmiyah, northern Baghdad, killing two people and injuring a further nine.
On Saturday, another car bomb explosion on the outskirts of the Iraqi capital by the ultra-radical militant group killed 23 Shia pilgrims.
IS overran large areas north and west of Baghdad in 2014, but Iraqi forces and Kurdish militias - backed by US-led airstrikes - have since regained significant ground.
The extremists still control large parts of northern and western Iraq, and are able to carry out frequent bombings in government-held areas.
