Britain's Foreign Secretary on Sunday once again appealed to Iran to free a detained charity worker and send her back home.

Speaking during a Conservative Party conference in Birmingham, Jeremy Hunt said,"Like Nazanin, you too have precious families. So whatever our disagreements, for the sake of our common humanity, it's time to let her and the others come home. "

British-Iranian Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was arrested during a holiday with her toddler daughter in April 2016.

Iranian authorities accuse her of plotting against the government. Her family denies this, saying she was in Iran to visit family.

During his address on Sunday, Hunt also commented on Europe's stance towards Britain, as Brexit looms.

"Brexit is not about whether you succeed or we succeed.  Europe prospers when we both succeed and it's time to change your approach," he stated, to thunderous applause.

Hunt also slammed Russia, accusing it of involvement in chemical weapons attacks in Syria and praising Prime Minister Theresa May for standing up to "Russian bullies".

"If you try to intimidate this country, if you use chemical weapons, if you don't play by the international rules, the price will always be too high," he warned the Kremlin.
