Israeli forces shoot Palestinian for ramming his car into police vehicle
The young Palestinian man is in serious condition after being shot by Israeli forces in Al-Amari refugee camp near Ramallah for ramming his car into a police vehicle.

A Palestinian is in critical condition after being shot by Israeli security forces after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into an undercover police car operating in the occupied West Bank, police said Thursday.
Police were carrying out arrests overnight in the Al-Amari refugee camp near the West Bank city of Ramallah when the Palestinian man "attempted to run over the officers" and hit the armoured police car, a statement claimed.
The officers say they saw the driver holding a knife and shot him, with police saying he was a Palestinian from Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, without providing further details.
No Israeli forces were wounded in the incident.
A spokesman for the Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem said the suspect was in serious condition.
Israeli forces carry out frequent raids and arrests in the occupied West Bank, which often lead to clashes.

Israel captured the West Bank, which is home to nearly three million Palestinians, in the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.
In May 2018, an Israeli special forces soldier was killed during an arrest operation in Al-Amari after being hit on the head by a stone thrown from a rooftop.
Following his death, Israeli troops demolished the home of a Palestinian accused of the killing.
Israel regularly demolishes the homes of Palestinians who carry out attacks against Israelis. It argues it is a deterrent though critics say it amounts to collective punishment.
