Libyan officials say fighting raging near Tripoli
Libyan officials say fighting has taken place over the past 24 hours near Tripoli, after a government attack on an airbase held by rogue General Khalifa Haftar.

Libyan officials say fighting has raged over the past 24 hours between the country's U.N.-supported government and rogue General Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled Libyan National Army, which is pushing to seize the capital, Tripoli.
The officials said on Saturday that the LNA launched airstrikes overnight against an air base at the Air Force Academy in the western city of Misrata. Those strikes come after armed groups loyal to the UN-backed government launched an air attack the previous against the LNA's al-Jufra air base.
On Tripoli's southern outskirts, the officials said LNA forces have taken control of the al-Naqliyah military camp.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.
The LNA, with its stronghold in the country's east, launched an offensive to take Tripoli in April, killing thousands of civilians in the process.
