Manchester police are looking into half a dozen people in relation to the Manchester Arena bombing.
Six suspects are being sought for questioning over the Manchester Arena bombing, including the parents of suicide bomber Salman Abedi.

Samia Tabbal, Abedi's mother, and his father Ramadan Abedi are suspects, along with four more individuals who the UK police are investigating, the Guardian reported.

Earlier this year Abedi’s brother Hashem was jailed for 55 years for his part in the killing of 22 people in the bombing he helped plan with his sibling.

His sentencing had been postponed due to travel restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.

His elder brother Salman set off the bomb in the arena's foyer at the end of the May 22, 2017 concert, as fans — including thousands of children and young people — were leaving a concert by pop singer Ariana Grande. He died in the explosion.

The two brothers, whose parents are from Libya, travelled to the North African country the month before the attack.

Salman returned to the UK on May 18, 2017, when he finalized preparations for the attack. Hashem remained in Libya until he was extradited to Britain and arrested at a London airport last year.

The Manchester bombing was the deadliest in a string of extremist attacks in London and Manchester in the spring and summer of 2017.

Targets in London included Westminster Bridge, London Bridge, and a north London mosque.
