An Egyptian teacher who was pronounced dead and buried has shown up months later, local media reported.

Mohammed Jamal, who had allegedly suffered mental health issues, was buried seven months ago.

Jamal was reported missing by his family after he left the village and did not return. The family received notice that a semi-decomposed body matching his description was found, and were summoned to collect the body for immediate burial.

The burial took place three months after Jamal had been reported missing. He, however, showed up this week and was taken to his Kafr al-Hosr village in Egypt, where his family had been grieving for months.
