The Beirut blast death toll has exceeded 150. As protesters rage in the capital calling for accountability, The New Arab has compiled a list of the victims to date.
Rage erupted in the Lebanese capital on Saturday, as thousands took to the streets of Beirut venting their anger at politicians they blame for the deadly explosions that killed dozens and injured thousands.

Hundreds of young men and women took to the streets carrying portraits of blast victims and a banner bearing the names of the 158 people who died.

"My government murdered my people," read one sign.

"You were corrupt, now you are criminals," read another.

Many took to twitter to share a list released by the health ministry containing the names of those confirmed dead.

Using the hashtag #SayTheirNames, some clamoured for bloody revenge against a leadership they blame for the massive blast that engulfed their capital.

The explosion that disfigured the city and shocked the world is widely perceived as a direct consequence of the incompetence and corruption that have come to define Lebanon's ruling class.

On Saturday, the Syrian embassy in Beirut confirmed more than 40 Syrians were among those killed in the massive blast.

Among the dead was also 55-year-old Hedwig Waltmans-Molier, the wife of the Netherlands' ambassador to Lebanon, who died of injuries she sustained in the massive blast.

The victims also included some from the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt.

Over a dozen remain unidentified and the death toll is likely to rise as at least 60 people remain missing.

As of Saturday 18:00 GMT, 139 of 158 victims have been fully or partly identified as:
