Palestinian movement Hamas denies links with far-right US Boogaloo Bois

Michael Solomon, 30, and Benjamin Teeter, 22, have been charged with conspiring and attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organisation, the Justice Department said.

US and Israeli reports have linked to the two members of the far-right movement to funding Hamas.

Hamas, which controls the besieged Gaza Strip, is considered a terrorist organisation by Israel and the United States.

"We decry the US administration attempt to link Hamas to any member of this group," Hamas said in a statement.

"This is a desperate attempt to discredit the movement at the request of Israel or its extremist leadership," the Palestinian group added.

"The Palestinian national liberation movement, whose struggle is only directed against the Israeli occupation of Palestine, and does not interfere in the internal affairs of any state around the world."

Boogaloo Bois is a loose-knit movement that has been accused of including some neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups, as well as libertarians and anarchists.

The stridently anti-police and anti-authority movement promotes a "boogaloo" - a new civil war to overthrow the government.

Few had heard of the movement before this year.
