As well as designing her own UAE off-shore haven, the star is making designs to Dubai's 'Lebanon' island for her luxury getaway empire.

Following news that Hollywood-starlet-turned-philanthropic-nightclub-mogul Lindsay Lohan is designing an island off the Emirati coast, the actress has now revealed she is now planning to "take over" not one but two of Dubai's man-made islands, where she is now based and busy expanding her eponymous luxury clubbing empire.
In an interview with Emirates Woman, the star disclosed she is revamping the pre-existing beach club on "Lebanon" island, one of the 300 artificial islands that make up "The World" archipelago - a project first pioneered in 2003 but suffered setbacks during the financial crisis.
The Mean Girls icon will reportedly put her name on a series of five star developments including restaurants, luxury cabanas, water sports stations, and private villas, the 31-year-old told the Gulf magazine.
LiLo's projects will be among the first to be completed on the archipelago, which developers are striving to make a playground for the rich and famous who can buy their own island for a cool £15 million ($20 million).
The ambitious project is being revived with gusto with a handful of opulent resorts underway on Sweden, Italy and Switzerland, among others.
Lohan revealed on a chat show in January her plans to also design her own island at The World, one of numerous business projects she is busy with in the Gulf.
The star, who was notoriously hounded by the press as she went through drug and alcohol issues in LA, has been living part-time in Dubai for three years.
She has professed her love of the paparazzi-free culture and "serenity" of the UAE. Lohan caused a stir in her native US in recent years for revealed she was studying the Quran and has also appeared wearing the hijab.

As well as her beach project, Lohan is also working on a film shot in Saudi Arabia, featuring an all-female cast that will be released to celebrate the lifting of the ban on cinemas and women drivers.
Without a doubt being a boon for the Gulf's budding arts scene, last month LiLo publicly professed her admiration for Saudi Arabia's controversial Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
She called him "really inspirational" for his support for "everything that's happening with the change of theatres".
The star also has a string of beach and night club projects underway in Greece and Thailand, including an Athens "pro-refugee" night spot - named "Lohan", no less - which received a bemused reaction from the press.
