'Dead' Egyptian man shows up months after burial
Mohammed Jamal, who had allegedly suffered mental health issues, was buried seven months ago.
Jamal was reported missing by his family after he left the village and did not return. The family received notice that a semi-decomposed body matching his description was found, and were summoned to collect the body for immediate burial.
The burial took place three months after Jamal had been reported missing. He, however, showed up this week and was taken to his Kafr al-Hosr village in Egypt, where his family had been grieving for months.
In response, Egyptian authorities launched an investigation into the incident, with local reports confirming his family members and relatives have been summoned for interrogation to find out why the body was buried without formal identification.
