Diving activities all over Red Sea province have resumed over the weekend, two weeks after two tourists were  killed by a shark while diving in Sahl Hasheesh city, 20 kilometres from Hurghada, local Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported on Monday, citing Red Sea governor Amr Hanafy.

The decision allowed the return of snorkelling activities in the coastal area, extending from the north of Dasha al-Dabaa to Ras Abu Soma in the south.

Water sports are allowed, except for the banana boat activity. Snorkelling is restricted to coral reefs and should be carried out in groups and under the direct supervision of a licensed snorkelling guide.
