Israeli forces detained 14 Palestinians, including a cancer patient who had been previously released from prison during overnight raids across the occupied West Bank late on Wednesday and early on Thursday.

Israeli forces also raided the patient's family home in Al-Bireh, the capital city of Ramallah.

Another former prisoner was re-arrested in Birzeit town, north of Ramallah, security sources told the Palestinian Authority's news agency Wafa.

He was released several months ago after serving a year and a half in administrative detention.

Three pairs of brothers were also detained by heavily armed forces during raids across towns and villages in Ramallah.
