Towns in Lebanon's mountains have been blanketed with snow after a storm given the Arabic name "Hiba" struck.

The storm is set to remain for an entire week, broadcaster MTV Lebanon reported on Wednesday.

It also hit parts of Syria and Jordan.

In Saudi Arabia, snow hit the Tabuk region close to the Jordanian border, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Earlier this month, a storm that began in parts of Saudi Arabia caused a rare snow-fall for several nights, Saudi media reported.
