Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip entered its seventh consecutive day on Sunday, with early air raids killing at least four Palestinians, wounding dozens more, and flattening at least two residential buildings.

The home of Gaza's Hamas chief, Yehya al-Sinwar, was also targeted, the group's media reported.

More than 174 Palestinians, including at least 47 children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past week, the health ministry in enclave reported.

More than 1,200 others have been wounded. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have killed at least 13 Palestinians.

The UN Security Council was set to meet Sunday to discuss the deadly violence.
