Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip entered its eleventh consecutive day on Thursday, amid a mounting death toll and attacks on essential infrastructure in the besieged enclave.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 230 Palestinians, including at least 65 children, have been killed in Gaza since the start of the Israeli bombardment which began on 10 May.
The death toll also continues to surge in the West Bank and Occupied East Jerusalem, with at least 27 killed since the violence commenced.
More than 6,000 others have been wounded across the Palestinian territories.
Despite four United Nations Security Council meetings, the UN has been unable to adopt a joint statement to halt the violence after the US blocked the measure.

Two Egyptian security delegations will be sent to monitor a ceasefire deal aimed at bringing an end to 11 days of deadly Israeli violence against Palestinians in Gaza, diplomatic sources told AFP.

UK announces aid package to provide emergency relief for Palestinians in Gaza
Authorities in the UK have responded to emergency appeal by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees UNRWA calling for urgent support to assist civilians facing Israeli bombardment in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The UK’s Minister for the Middle East James Cleverly announced the £3.2 million package will help provide food, water, and emergency shelter in the enclave.

Facebook shuts down pro-Israel page
A pro-Israel Facebook page with more than 75 million followers was reportedly taken down by the social media giant for violating rules "against spam and inauthentic behaviour".
The move against the 'Jerusalem Prayer Team' page is final and no appeals will be considered, Facebook said in a statement.

BREAKING: Hamas and Israel have agreed a cease-fire starting Friday morning, ending the 11 day onslaught.
Hamas sources have confirmed to Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar that the group has agreed to a cease-fire, and that this will be binding for both the Israeli Government and Hamas.

UN Secretary-General has said that he's been "deeply shocked" by Israeli-Palestine violence
In a statement, Antonio Guterres has said that the destruction of civilian infrastructure continued aerial bombardment, and displacement of thousands of Palestinians has left him feeling "deeply shocked".

Israeli police storm Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem
Israeli police Thursday afternoon stormed Al-Makassed Hospital in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Tur, according to witnesses, according to Wafa News Agency.
"The Israeli police and intelligence officers, including at least a masked officer, forced their way into the hospital and occupied its rooftops as they harassed and interrogated the medical staff".

Sen. Bernie Sanders to introduce resolution of disapproval on $735 million U.S. arms sale to Israel (Source: Washington Post)
"Sen. Bernie Sanders is preparing to introduce a resolution on Thursday disapproving of the U.S. sale of $735 million in precision-guided weapons to Israel, according to a draft obtained by The Washington Post.
The resolution aims to halt the planned sale to Israel by the Biden administration of JDAMs, or Joint Direct Attack Munitions, and Small Diameter Bombs, as the worst hostilities in years continue between Israel and Hamas. The resolution needs only a simple majority to pass the Senate; but if it were to be vetoed by President Joe Biden, it would need a two-thirds majority in both chambers to take effect.
“At a moment when U.S.-made bombs are devastating Gaza, and killing women and children, we cannot simply let another huge arms sale go through without even a congressional debate," Sanders said in a statement to The Post".

Palestinian worker stabbed, critically wounded by settler in Holon (Wafa News Agency)
A young Palestinian worker was stabbed and critically wounded late last night by Israeli settler fanatics in the city of Holon, in the center of 1948-occupied Palestine, according to media sources
Arab 48 website said a group of Israeli settlers assaulted the young man, who hails from the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, and stabbed him after raiding his workplace when they discovered that he was a Palestinian.
He remains in a critical condition in hospital.

US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has been the target of attack adverts on Facebook sponsored by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) for her criticism of Israel's violence against Palestinians in East Jerusalem and its bombing of Gaza.
AIPAC’s paid advert on Facebook depicts the Somali-American lawmaker with rockets descending on Israel in the background. The ad falsely claims that Omar said that when Israel targets Hamas, it’s an "act of terrorism".
