Presidential spiritual adviser Paula White led an impassioned prayer service in her effort to get President Donald Trump re-elected, Right Wing Watch reported, where she appeared to invoke the help of angels.

The knife-edge US presidential race tilted toward Democrat Joe Biden early Thursday, with wins in Michigan and Wisconsin bringing him close to a majority.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has claimed he is being cheated, going to court to try and stop vote counting.

Trump's personal pastor and spiritual advisor also appeared to be pulling out all the stops.

Pastor Paula White, who is an advisor to the White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative, held a lively prayer service for the president in a video that has gone viral on social media.

In the video, which had more than 9 million views at the time of writing, White says: "You will give us victory, God."

"I hear a sound of abundance of rain. I hear a sound of victory," she repeats.

"The lord says it is done," she says, before adding that "angels are being dispatched right now".

After chanting, White says: "Angels have been dispatched from Africa right now. They're coming here, in the name of Jesus."

She repeats the claim before adding that angels are also coming from South America.

The pastor also appeared to speak in tongues.

Paula White is a Florida televangelist who has been serving as Trump's personal pastor and is on his faith advisory committee.

She was one of the religious leaders who delivered a prayer at Trump's inauguration in 2017.
