The Sudanese Doctors Committee revealed on Sunday that nearly 180 people were injured during demonstrations a day earlier, some with live bullets.
In a statement published on its official Facebook page, the non-governmental medical committee stated that it registered 178 injuries, including eight with live bullets.
It added that three of those wounded with live bullets were in an "unstable condition."
Thousands of Sudanese protesters rallied on Saturday two months on since a military coup, calling for a transition to civilian rule.
At least 48 people have died in crackdowns during weeks of protests, according to the independent Doctors Committee.
Internet connections which were cut at dawn on Saturday ahead of the protests also returned later in the evening, according to locals.
The army had initially shut down communications in the country after the coup on October 25, before returning it to somewhat normal around a month later.
