UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan sent condolences on the passing of Aura Herzog, Emirati state media said.
Aura Herzog died Monday, at the age of 97. She was the widow of the sixth Israeli president, Chaim Herzog.
The UAE and Israel normalised relations in 2020.
The two countries have since bolstered their ties in fields including defence, tourism and trade, drawing criticism from Palestinians and their supporters.
