An image of a four-year-old girl attacked by a family dog in Wales in 2008 is being shared widely on social media by users claiming it is the picture of a boy in Sweden attacked by Muslims.
The image was first posted by Canadian Twitter user, David G Gowing, according to Wales Online.
"Swedish boy beaten by Islamic terrorists because he has blue eyes!," the self-proclaimed Trump supporter tweeted on Sunday.
His post was shared over 511 times before it was taken down.
The image actually shows the aftermath of a dog attack on a girl called Sophie Willis in Wales, according to Wales Online.
When corrected by another Twitter user, David G Gowing remained suspicious, saying: "Notice how the wound follows the curve of the bridge of the eye socket? Powerful dog bite not!"
