Half Palestinian supermodel Gigi Hadid came under fire after Victoria’s Secret announced they will be hosting their annual fashion show in the Chinese capital of Shanghai.

In February, she offended thousands across the world after a video of her mocking a Buddha cookie by squinting her eyes in a racist gesture went viral.

She was sitting at a restaurant with her friends, when her sister Bella filmed her on her Instagram story as she picked up the cookie and squinted her eyes. The video was later deleted, but not before it fell into the archives of the internet’s history.

With the announcement that the annual fashion show will be hosted in China, the video resurfaced on the internet, and so did everyone else’s anger.

While there were many excited about the show, and were buzzing about the lingerie to be featured, tweets showing anger towards Gigi took over the Victoria's Secret thread on Twitter:

The show was threatened with a boycott...

Gigi even turned off her Instagram comments after she announced on her photo-sharing page that she will be featured in the China fashion show, with many filling the comments with snake emojis and demanding she stays away from China.
