It's official: Katie Hopkins has been fired by Mail Online.

While no reason has been given, a statement made by a spokesperson for the paper said that Hopkins' contract was not renewed "by mutual consent".

The commentator has found herself embroiled in a string of controversies in recent months for her outrageous tweets.

After the horrific terror attack in Manchester which saw over 20 killed, Hopkins called for a "final solution", an echo of the Nazi term for the holocaust. Despite changing it to "true solution" after public outcry, she was fired from her weekend radio show on LBC in May.

Now, every single tweet made by Hopkin's has been deleted. The reason is unknown.

Unfortunately for Katie, the internet has a pretty good memory of her previous offences. Here are some of the worst:

1. On "cockroach" migrants

While the migrant and refugee crisis moved hearts globally, Hopkin's was far from moved. In a column in the Sun titled: "Rescue boats? I'd use gunships to stop migrants", Hopkins refers to the migrants bottled in Calais as a "plague of feral humans"

2. On the Egyptian coup

"Egyptian uprising continues to look like Bonfire Night. Protest fireworks. Right up there with Angry cupcakes."

It’s all sunshine and roses in Egypt when the first democratic experiment is toppled by a brutal military regime. Never mind the hundreds killed, where’s the cake at?

3. On Ramadan

"Ramadan typically brings a spike in violence in Middle East. I get grumpy when I don’t eat  but I don’t blow things up. Religion of peace?"

Hopkins continued to link the Muslim holy month of fasting to violence in her Islamophobic tirades.

After a man was apprehended on his way to London’s Downing Street armed with a knife, Hopkins tweeted: "Explosion in France, shooting at a German hospital, knife attack in London. And Ramadan has not yet begun."

"Without food these sods get nasty," she added.

4. On redheads

"Ginger babies. Like a baby. Just so much harder to love"

Not even defenceless babies were spared Hopkins vitriol.

"Please no more pictures of ginger babies. This woman needs to eat."

5. On motherhood

"Nothing makes my buttocks clench tighter and my teeth itch more than 'Full Time Mummy'. Full time mummy is not a job title, it’s a biological status."

6. On "Palestinian rodents"

In 2014 after peace talks fell through between Israel and Palestine, Hopkins courted controversy by describing Palestinians as "dirty rodents"

"2 state solution my arse. Filthy rodents burrowing beneath Israel. Time to restart the bombing campaign," she wrote on Twitter.

Months earlier, Israel had attacked Gaza in a brutal 50 day operation that killed more than 2,100  mostly civilian – Palestinians, according to the UN.

7. On Black Lives

"Dear black people. If your lives matter why do you stab and shoot each other so much."

While America battled a race problem and activists took to highlight the brutality suffered at the hands of subconscious racism, Hopkins thought it was timely to deliver a shocking generalisation.

8. On depression

"There is no stigma around depression. There are only realists and people pissed off because their train is delayed."

Hopkins had previously lambasted the "selfish" person who’d interrupted her "busy" schedule by committing suicide and delaying her train.

"Someone killed themselves in front of my train today. AGAIN! How many times have I got to tell you? Stop being selfish. I’m a busy lady," she tweeted.

But it would be too much to ask for the inconvenience to be dismissed with some sympathy – after all, it’s hard when you don't have a heart.
