An American woman has apologised for her "un-Christian" behavior, after she was filmed threatening to "kill all Muslims" and racially abusing three young women following a parking dispute.

Amber Hensley told three young Somali women that they "aren't American" after they accused her of being racist, in the video which went viral this week.

"I'm an American! I'm an American, and you're not!" says Hensley shouted.

After being challenged about following her racist outburst she went on to threaten the Muslim trio.

"We're gonna kill all of ya'. Kill every one of you fucking Muslims," said Hensley, who had a sticker supporting Donald Trump on her car.

"Why are you in our country, anyway?" she asked as she continued her tirade.

Sarah Hassan, one of the young women who was confronted by Hensley, said that she, her sister and a friend had visited the Walmart before planning to go and watch a film.

"I wanted everyone to see what happens to us every day," Hassan told the Forum News Service. "I was so scared."

Hensley, who was later identified as a local accountant, took to Facebook to apologise for her racist rant after the video was shared on social media.

"It was not a Christian like thing to do AT ALL and wish I could take it back," she said, alleging that she had acted defensively after being called a "fat b*tch" by the three young women.

Hensley also alleged that the girls had insulted Jesus - a claim that Hassan has disputed, despite admitting to making a weight-related insult.

"We Muslims, we believe in Jesus, too," she said. "If I abuse Jesus it's like I'm abusing my own god and I not going to be considered a Muslim".

Incidents of Islamophobic hate crimes are reportedly on the rise in the US, where a law banning immigration from six Muslim-majority countries was recently reinstated.

In 2015, three young Muslims were gunned down near the University of North Carolina in an apparent parking dispute.

Deah Barakat, 23, his wife Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, and her 19-year old sister Razan were killed execution-style at a Chapel Hill apartment complex on February 10, 2015 by the couple's neighbour Craig Hicks.

Hicks, who portrayed himself as a pro-gun "anti-theist" who wanted "religion to go away", is currently in detention charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
