Palestinian elections will be postponed until there is a guarantee that voting can take place in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, President Mahmoud Abbas said.

Fatah reached an agreement with its long-standing rival Hamas to hold legislative polls on May 22 and a presidential vote on July 31.
