Israeli forces arrest Palestinian minor over shooting of two Israeli settlers in occupied East Jerusalem

According to Israeli security forces, the suspect in Tuesday's shooting attack against two Israeli settlers in Sheikh Jarrah in occupied East Jerusalem was arrested early Wednesday. 

"The suspect, a minor and a resident of Askar village in Nablus was handed over to the Shin Bet investigation," the Israeli military said in a statement. 

The suspect "linked himself to the incident already in the initial investigation," the statement added. 

The suspect's name was not released, but Palestinian sources say Israeli forces initially arrested two Palestinians but later released one. 

According to local reports, Abdallah Zamr, 15, remained in custody. 

On Tuesday, Israeli forces said they found a Carlo makeshift submachine gun which the suspect used in the attack. 

Two Israeli settlers were injured in Tuesday's attack.
