Israeli forces on Thursday reportedly destroyed out a Syrian observation post, which was allegedly being used by Hezbollah.

The post was located in Quneitra, the governorate where the Syrian-held part of the Golan, non-profit news website Enab Baladi said.

The monitoring facility, said to be just 150 metres from Israeli-occupied Golan territories, was hit by tank fire.

Local Syrian outlets reported on the attack via social media.

Enab Baladi said the outpost was operated by Assad's First Corps, specifically the 90th Brigade.

No one was hurt by the tank fire.

One activist, Abu Hassan Al-Julani said the site was critical infrastructure and that a significant Hezbollah figure, Jawed Hashem, often visited.

Hashem oversees Hezbollah's operations regarding the Golan Heights, most of which has been occupied by Israel since 1967's Six-Day War.

This is not the first Israeli airstrike against Quneitra in recent months.

In May, the area was hit twice in two days.

The Israeli army revealed at the start of the month that it had destroyed a Syrian regime observation post in the Golan.
