Israeli troops killed a Palestinian man during an attack on Tuesday in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said, after demolishing the home of a Palestinian man.

The Israeli military said it demolished an apartment in the West Bank city of Jenin belonging to Raed Hazem, who is accused of carrying out a deadly attack at a Tel Aviv bar in April.

Fighting then broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the area.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said a 29-year-old man was killed and 16 others were wounded in the fighting.

The Palestinian official news agency, Wafa, identified the man as Mohammad Musa Saabaneh. It was not immediately clear if he was involved in the clashes.

Israel maintains a policy of demolishing the homes of Palestinians who it accuses of carrying out attacks on Israelis.

Israel has been carrying out near-daily raids in the occupied West Bank for months.

The Palestinian Health Ministry estimates that around 100 people, including civilians and fighters, have been killed in the campaign and they are seen by rights groups and local civilians as a deliberate tactic to intimidate and terrorise the population.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the latest raids on Jenin.

"The ministry views the systematic Israeli escalation with grave concern and we will follow this crime up with the International Criminal Court and the UN Human Rights Council," it said.

On Monday, the Israeli military published its final conclusions into the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in May, saying she was likely to have been unintentionally shot by an Israeli soldier.

Abu Akleh, a US-Palestinian citizen, was shot dead on May 11 while covering an Israeli raid in Jenin in circumstances that remain disputed. Her killing triggered international outrage.
