For the Palestinian caws: Crow 'tears down' Israeli flag from mast

A video that appears to show a crow tearing down an Israeli flag from a pole is being widely shared online. 

The video shows a seemingly determined crow pecking and tugging at the Israeli flag until it falls from its mast to the ground, while onlookers let out disapproving cries in Hebrew.

One of the earliest versions of the video was shared on Twitter by a user known as Sarah Palestine. The tweet has garnered more than 15,000 views at the time of writing.

"Even the bird does not recognize what you call Israel. A crow pulls the flag from the mast and throws it to the ground," Sarah Palestine tweeted. 

Dozens of other users have since shared the video, which could not be verified by The New Arab.

There have been a number of videos shared online recently, purportedly showing animals targeting the Israeli flag.

It is not the first time, nor is it a coincidence, that a crow has brought down the Israeli flag.

"It is not the first time, nor is it a coincidence, that a crow has brought down the Israeli flag," tweeted a user called Mohammed Najjar, along with several other videos of crows attacking an Israeli flag. 

Nir Hasson, whose Twitter bio states he is a journalist at Israeli news site Haaretz, shared the video along with the caption: "God is undoubtedly hinting something to us just not sure exactly what."

One user responded by sharing a video of a cat attacking an Israeli flag which went viral last week.

"Even cats came out too, they can't stand them or their knowledge. Not just crows," they tweeted.
