Syrian artist enters Guinness for world's largest display of mandala
A Syrian girl who worked months on a display of mandala has entered Guinness' book of records

A young Syrian artist made it to the Guinness World Records after creating the largest display of mandala in the world.
Lama Zakaria said she planned her piece of art for about two years. It took her around five months of work with six hours per day.

The board includes 4,096 mandala circles of various diameters, colours and styles. Sizes ranged from two cm to two meters in diameters. It was done on eight MDF wood sheets to stick together, measuring a total size of 25 square meters.
Zakaria worked on the display in her small studio in Deir Attiyah, north of Damascus.
A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols and is usually very colourful.
In the religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shintoism, it is used as a map to represent deities.
