Syria: Barrel bombs kill 20 in Aleppo

Barrel bombs killed 20 civilians in the Shiaar neighborhood of Aleppo [AR], on Thursday evening, residents have said. The attack also left many injured and damaged several residential buildings.

"The regime committed a horrible massacre," said Yaman Khateeb, a member of the Aleppo Media Centre. "Its aircraft targeted the old transport station area and the seriously injured were taken to nearby field hospitals."

A further six civilians were killed in Muhandiseen village to the west of Aleppo on Wednesday, after aircraft of the US-led alliance against IS targeted the electricity power plant.
