Ons Jabeur has defeated Wimbledon defending champion Elena Rybakina in the quarter-finals, avenging the Tunisian tennis star’s heartbreaking grand final defeat last year.
Jabeur caught the attention of the world with her meteoric rise in Wimbledon last year, going so far as to reach the grand final of the prestigious grand slam tournament. But she lost that grand final match against the same player she defeated in the quarter-finals today.
Jabeur will now play Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals on Thursday.
